Saltmarsh originally opened in early 2005 and became a dynamic and engaging glass studio, gallery and café experience, embraced by our local community and loved by many visitors to Warrnambool. After a busy three years of running the café and gallery seven days a week, making glass for ourselves and other galleries and raising three boys, we decided to go on an adventure. We left the dog at home, closed the business, rented out our home and spent all of 2008 travelling throughout Europe and the United Kingdom in a much loved 1980’s VW kombi.

Now we’re back and even more enthused about celebrating the handmade object, telling how things are made and encouraging the maker. We’re enjoying the opportunity to sell wonderful creative goodies by Australian designers and makers, chatting to customers in the store and creating hand blown glass in our studio overlooking the wetlands.
